Jeremy is an insurance professional with over 20 years' experience across London, Hong Kong and Sydney. He founded Ride Protect in 2021 — one of Australia's first dedicated insurance platforms for rideshare and gig economy workers — and serves as Managing Director and Responsible Manager of Protect Underwriting under AFSL 241055. His career spans three of the world's major insurance markets, including time at Aon in London and Hong Kong, working directly with Lloyd's syndicates.
Nick brings more than 20 years of specialist expertise in insurance product, pricing and underwriting. He serves as a Responsible Manager under AFSL 241055. Nick was a founding team member and Head of Insurance at KOBA, where he led the design and launch of Australia's first usage-based motor insurance product. Prior to KOBA, he spent nearly a decade as Head of Product, Pricing and Underwriting at Progressive Direct Australia — building a $40 million book from scratch.
Kym brings over 35 years of insurance broking experience, with a career built on genuine client relationships and deep expertise in commercial motor and SME markets. She holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Broking).
Bob is a director of Protect Underwriting with over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a director of Hunter Equity Group Pty Ltd, owner of Macquarie Underwriting Pty Ltd and Chairman of MB Insurance Group. Bob is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF, a Certified Insurance Professional and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Stephen is a director with 50 years of insurance industry experience spanning Commercial Union Insurance and several businesses he co-founded. He currently serves as Director of Hunter Equity Group Pty Ltd, Quantum Risk Management Pty Ltd and FTB Consulting Pty Ltd.
Steven is a corporate law specialist with over 25 years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, private equity and securities law. He is the founder and principal of Sydney-based law firm Walter Baden. Much of Steven's M&A work has been in the insurance industry.
